Keep authorizationopen, free, and independent.
PRE-GEN is an open protocol, not a product. The specification, the test vectors, and the SDKs are Apache-2.0 — free for anyone to implement, forever. Your support keeps the standard independent and the protection free for the people who need it most.
Why it matters.
Generative AI can already depict anyone — a person, an artist’s style, a brand, a voice — without asking. The people most affected, independent creators and artists, are usually the ones with the least power to fight back. PRE-GEN exists to give them a way to say yes or no before anything is generated, and to prove it cryptographically.
For that protection to mean something, the standard has to stay open and neutral: free for anyone to implement, with no vendor lock-in. Openness is cheap to promise and expensive to maintain — documentation, vectors, SDKs, and the registry itself all cost real work. That’s where you come in.
Where your support goes.
Rights holders first
Registration and the unconditional opt-out stay free for creators, performers, estates, and brands — protection is never a premium feature.
Open specification work
Keeping the spec, byte-level test vectors, and documentation current and honest — so any provider, in any language, can implement PRE-GEN without paying anyone.
Open SDKs & conformance
Apache-2.0 SDKs for more languages, and a public conformance suite so a “PRE-GEN compatible” label means something checkable.
Every bit helps the standard stay neutral.
Sponsorships fund the open protocol work — not any commercial service. The commercial registry (PRAMPTA) funds itself.
